L. Paul Brief, MD, is an board certified orthopedic surgeon with Northeast Orthopedics and Sports Medicine (NEOSM). Dr. Brief completed a residency at New York University (NYU) Langone’s Hospital for Joint Diseases. He received his medical degree from New York Medical College, completed an internship at NYU Langone’s Hospital for Joint Diseases and received a bachelor’s degree from Colombia College.
Following his residency, Dr. Brief went on to serve our country as a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps with the Marines in Da Nang, Vietnam from 1969 to 1970. Dr. Brief is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has been married to Dr. Rochelle Brief and enjoys spending time with his family. He is also a published author who enjoys art appreciation, classical music, long distance walking and is a wine critic.
