The staff wasn't overly rude, but they weren't very polite either. One nurse came into my room while talking on her phone about her child when she was supposed to be helping me. It's so rude and unprofessional. The cleaning crew has not cleaned my room in 3 weeks. They don't really take that extra step to make me feel special. I'm just another client to them and I feel like I am just getting in their way of their pay check. I looked around for their business license or credentials, but I didn't see it displayed anywhere. I hope they're qualified. The kitchen staff doesn't know how to read or just don't care. I have told them everyday to stop sending me food that I don't eat. It's written on the paper they get everyday. There is a patient here that is allergic to corn and it is written on the paper that the kitchen staff gets everyday and the kitchen staff keeps sending him corn knowing it will cause his throat to swell shut. The therapist here don't care about anyone. Either you do what they want, when they want or they'll write a bad review on you in their reports to your insurance. They'll give you a time that they will get you for therapy and then they will show up late and blame you cause it's your fault that they wasn't on time. The administrator doesn't care about anyone either. She seems to care about her cigarettes more. She's never in her office. They staff and patients that smoke sit within 10-15 feet from the doors to the facility. If you don't smoke then you'll choke on the smoke as you try to enter the building. There has been 4 dead roaches in my room, 1 big brown spider (alive) & 2 big flying roaches in my room over this past month. They have told me that I have a say in m care here, but every time I have said something the one nurse, the administrator and the therapist refuses to listen and have made it clear that I honestly do not have a say in my care and that they do not care. If you receive Social Security or Disability and you get put in the nursing home part of this place, they will take all but $30 of your Social Security and/or Disability each month. I give the Brian Center of Columbia SC on Saint Andrews Road 0 stars. This place is tied with the Carolinas Rehabilitation in Carolette NC as the worst places to be.

My mom was in critical condition and they even had the gall to say she was fine. I had to push to get her sent to Er, one month later she died. stay far far away.
