Dr. Delaney and his staff are beyond great!! They always go above and beyond to care for my "special needs" dogs...they are always friendly and accommodating. I would not take my dogs any where else!

This is not a 24 hr animal hospital. After office hours there is no staff there, so if you leave your pet there is no one checking or taking care of them until the staff returns in the morning, 8, 10 to 12 hrs later.
I erroneously assumed/thought that there would be someone there overnight based on asking where my pet would be and being told that he would be in a kennel with a glass so the staff could always see him and believing there was someone to call the 24 hr emergency vet if there was a downturn and someone watching and checking on him consistently. If your pet is sick, and you leave them there, you are not getting 24 hr coverage.
I truly like Dr Varitek, I think she is kind and empathetic, and a good vet. I have never met Dr Delaney, I think the front staff is kind as well....but that's only good as long as they are there. I would never have left him there 2 nights overnight based on medical advice, sick, away from home if I had known he was alone with no one taking care of him at night.
He was sick, and he died at night alone because I thought a 24 hr on call vet hospital meant 24 hr coverage by the staff. I didn't expect the vet to be there 24 hrs, I expected a trained staff to be there.
