I had taken my animals to Deason over the years (dogs, cats, goats and llamas) Had a few visits that I thought were overpriced, but overall felt that they at least did their jobs. Until recently, they will tell you one thing over the phone but will change when you bring the animal in or when you pick the animal up -- always concerning money. Be aware that the price of a spay or neuter does not include pain meds during or after and that they will require you to pay for a rabies shot of $15.00 whether they can perform the spay or neuter. Apparently if you dispute this charge and refuse to pay it, to the extent, that they will call the cops. Even though when you talked to them previously on the phone and they said there would be no charge as they couldn't perform the neuter because one testicle had not descended and you could not afford to pay 180.00 instead of the $45.00 that was quoted plus $15.00 for rabies shot and another $18.00 for pain ( not extra pain meds for after surgery, that would have been more money, but for pain med for surgery) but refused to honor what was said on the phone and insisted you had to pay the $15.00 for the rabies shot. They were rude called me a liar and then proceeded to call the cops. We waited for the cops, I paid the $15.00 for the rabies shot, and was told that they didn't want my business anymore as if they were going to get it. and of course I am glossing over the fact as to how upset my husband got and words were exchanged. but all in all REALIZE A SPAY OR NEUTER PRICE IS NOT WHAT IS QUOTED, AND THEY DO NOT HONOR WHAT IS SAID TO YOU ON THE PHONE.

They have the greatest designated area for pets to go to the bathroom here, which is extremely convenient. I never have to worry about scouting out a place for my dog to go pee and It is so well kept too. They were so informative, and thoroughly answered every single question I had regarding pet care. I left feeling like I really learned a lot. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. When I had to leave my pet here in overnight care I was so worried but they always called with follow-ups exactly as promised and even called more times than they said they would. They truly care about each of the animals that come into the hospital and treat them as all if they were their own.
