When someone comes to Massage Therapy at Umai Health Center for massage, the first thing we do is listen. Most of our clients need time to be able to fully explain where their pain is and how it may have started. Unlike traditional Doctor visits where time is limited, our Nationally certified therapist will take the time necessary to assess and determine what form of therapy will best be suited for treatment and relief of our clients discomfort.
We also differ from "Spa Massage" in that our therapist have done extensive additional study in areas of ligament instability, prenatal massage as well as massage for cancer patients and stroke recovery. We have a variety of massage therapy options to choose from including Deep Tissue, Assisted Integrated Stretching (AIS), Spinal Reflex Therapy and Positional Release.
By listening to and including our clients in the discussion of treatment, we can help our clients regain range of motion in joints and relieve muscle pain. If you have pain and tightness due to over taxed muscles, please let us help. Never underestimate the power of touch when the intent is to heal.
