Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have always had a passion for people and learning. Medicine provides a great opportunity to be immersed in both. I chose family medicine because I had a wonderful role model in the doctor who cared for our family as I was growing up. He, like I, believed God puts us on earth to serve others trying to ease the struggles that so may face. I may go home tired, but generally I feel good about what I accomplished in a given day. This has kept me motivated since graduating from medical school over 30 year ago. What I want my patients to know about me: As people are very different, what is comfortable for one may be different from what works for others.
