Dr. Kerrin C. DePeter is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (in Emergency Medicine) at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She joined our faculty in 2014 as an Attending Physician at the New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital. Dr. DePeter is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine (PEM). Dr. DePeter is invested in the education, academic and scholarly achievements, and clinical training of the residents rotating in the Pediatric Emergency Department. She is currently the director of the PEM rotations for the NYP/Columbia Emergency Medicine, family medicine, orthopedic, ophthalmology, and in-rotator residents. She is also a Co- Track Leader for the PEM Academic Practice Track program, dedicated to providing mentorship in PEM to the Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. DePeter completed her undergraduate education at Connecticut College and earned her medical degree at the University of Vermont College of Medicine where she graduated with AOA Honors. She completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital, and fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Jacobi Medical Center. Dr. DePeter currently practices in the Pediatric Emergency Department at the New York- Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and the New York-Presbyterian Virtual Urgent Care.
