At Baylor Scott & White, he works as a hematologist-oncologist with a special focus on leukemia, graft-vs-host disease, and other malignant hematologic disorders. Dr Ahlers also cares for patients with non-cancerous blood disorders and solid tumors. Whether as a frequent provider for his patients with chronic hematologic disorders or as a one-time consultant for his patients who have blood abnormalities due to another problem, he endeavors to be a teacher, a coach, and an advocate for his patients.
