Ingredients

  • 10 slices of bacon

  • 1 head of fresh broccoli, cut into florets

  • ¼ cup red onion, chopped

  • ½ cup raisins

  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons white sugar

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds

Directions

  • Cook the bacon in a skillet on medium-high heat until it is evenly brown, then drain. When cool, crumble the bacon into bits and place to the side.

  • Next, combine the broccoli, onion, and raisins in a bowl. In a mixing bowl, mix the vinegar, sugar, and mayonnaise together. Combine the dressing with the broccoli mixture. Refrigerate the broccoli mixture for at least two hours.

  • Mix in the bacon and sunflower seeds prior to serving.
