What a disaster!!! I had a scar revision done by Boland that needed a secondary revision to produce the best result. The original revision went well and it looked as though everything was going to work out yet when Boland executed the secondary revision, he messed everything up due to poor surgical technique (confirmed by another plastic surgeon). Of course, Boland copped a major attitude and blamed me for the poor outcome of the surgery. Maybe the fact that he was in a heated argument with his wife, while both of them stood in the receptionist's area of his office, the day of my surgery, should have tipped me off that surgery from him might not the best idea...at least not at that moment. I just could not believe how unprofessional he was as he stood there screaming at her, in front of me. That just showed me how little he thinks of his patients. Of course the botched surgery confirmed to me further that he just doesn't care about his patients. Based off of my limited experience in dealing with Boland, I would definitely lose my mind if I had to put up with him on a daily basis. One last thing: as I consulted with other plastic surgeons in order to try to get Boland's mess cleaned up, I quickly realized that he has no respect from any of the other surgeons with which I consulted. They have respect for each other but Boland is basically the "laughing stock" of the other area plastic surgeons. Do yourself a huge favor and don't even consider this surgeon as he is simply too much of a gamble.
