I have heard over and over how great Dr. Reed is; and maybe when I first started seeing her, years ago, she was. Lately she literally talks to you with one hand on he door. She is in and out -- no real examination or diagnosis. I saw her recently and had a rash I had been told was shingles -- she just looked at it, said it wasn't shingles and said she'd see me next time. I tried to ask more questions but she was dismissive. I finally got an appointment with another dermatologist -- and found that my rash is a serious (as in life-threatening) autoimmune condition. The new doctor took time, asked questions, took a biopsy. Re: Dr. Reed, I was shocked when they dismissed my concerns as unimportant and told me I was just overreacting. I knew that my situation needed attention, and I couldn't believe that they wouldn't even look into it. It saddens me because she is known for being a good doc -- but I have this feeling that economics have changed her treatment methods.
