My son has been the patient for 2.5 yrs, for what we discovered were shellfish allergies. Our wait time was never very long, ranging from 3-10 minutes. The staff was courteous and efficient. On our last visit the technician that had to do the skin tests could have been a bit more patient when my son showed tremendous distress at the thought of the scratch skin tests. It had been a year since his last tests and for some reason he thought it would hurt, so he cried and would not give his arm for the test.
Dr. Derek Johnson is WONDERFUL!!!! Very child friendly, very personable, and explained things clearly to me about the tests, the results, the treatment, and the path to take further down the road. I felt like we were "people" with him, not just faceless bodies that went through his office in sequence. We were not rushed, and I felt comfortable asking all the questions I felt necessary. I would not hesitate in recommending him to other pediatric patients, or adult patients!!!! We just moved to Houston and we will miss having him as my son's Allergist!!!
