When you go to see Dr. Shakir, he is always running behind schedule. This is unacceptable since he isn't an obstetrician or heart surgeon! The long wait (generally an hour to an hour and a half!) seems to be built right into their scheduling--very inconsiderate of the patients time. They don't even apologize. In spite of that, I will say that he is very thorough in his examination, though not always helpful or even courteous. The staff is friendly and helpful.

i have been going to see Dr Shakir for approximately eigt years. I have to say that I am very impressed with his staff. They are alway very pleasant ,courteous and eager to help.. The office is always warm and welcoming as well as clean. I would highly recommend Dr Shakir for he is very professional and knowledgeable. He has a great bedside manner and is very through and patient.

I will definitely recommend them to people I know. Dr. Shakir is one of the best optometrists I've seen. Excellent quality of care. Their staff is helpful and amazingly sweet. Its a very nice office, beautiful and spacious, and it is handicap-accessible.
