I was a little disappointed at how helpful the staff was when I called with my questions and concerns. They definitely could have been more polite.
You are definitely treated like a number at this office.
Not an ounce of bedside manner.

My review will be VERY different from the previous post. I saw Dr. Cheatum on Friday for a follow up visit from after having my baby. I knew he was going to discuss putting me on Plaquenil which he knows my views on the drug and knows I will not take it. I wanted to cancel the appointment the day before but decided to go anyway. He immediately brought up Plaquenil. I told him that I did not want to use that drug. He called me "Crazy" and proceeded to chastize me like a child. Dr.Cheatum & I agreed that I neeeded to find another doctor. In the mail today I received a letter stating that I failed to maintain a satisfactory relationship with the doctor therefore he could no longer treat me. So because I would not do as he says and wanted to explore other options I can no longer be his patient. No problem for me. I can't stand the fact that he doesn't listen to his patient. It is MY body you are wanting me to put medicine into and therefore I HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE THE MEDICINE. Just because he has MD behind his name does not mean his method is right for ME. One plan of action does not treat every patient. If you are considering using Dr. Cheatum be aware that he inundates you with literature for his drug of choice & demands that you use it or you are not PRIVILIGED to be his patient.

I LOVE DR. CHEATUM. He is the first doctor in years who has REALLY LISTENED to my symptoms and taken me seriously. He is knowledgable, thorough, I never feel rushed or insignificant, and he has not chastised me when I've been non-compliant with meds I chose not to take. He seems scary & stern, but he's just very focused and serious about his job. I really respect him so much. And, his staff are wonderful to work with as well.
