Dr. Whittington has been my care provider for 19 years. He is an incredible Doctor. He takes time with patients suring the visit and is very thorough. He is kind and compassionate and truly cares about his patients. The wait time is never more than a few minutes which is very convenient. I would reccomend him to anyone!

I didn't wait long at all. My appointment started on time, and the wait was much shorter than other offices I have been to. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I've been to other places that pressured me to buy stuff and it always made me very uneasy.

Dr Whittington has been my doctor for about 20 years now. He is nice and personable, but in that superficial doctor way. I am 30 years old, and pretty much every time I saw him in the last decade he asked me where I went to school. Ok when I was 23, 25, but 27, 28, 29...? I would like a doctor who takes a bit more time to familiarize himself with me every time I return. Also, I have only seen him for illnesses in the last 10 years, and not once has he asked me about a general physical or yearly checkup. I know it is my responsibility to do those things, but I would like to think he would at least suggest I have a checkup, maybe guilt me into getting my physical. I don't feel like he really cares, I am just another patient to see and finish each day. He is very nice and seems attentive to problems, but does not go above the status quo.

I changed doctors after finding out from a friend Dr. Whittington was good. Found out it was the same average (sub par in what the real world of medicine really should be like)service you get at most other doctor's offices in Colorado Springs. You go in, the first thing they ask is your insurance information, then expecting your co-pay right off before services are even rendered. This is all before really even so much as a greating. I don't know if the doctors know this is a turn off or maybe they don't care. It's like there is this doctor's office management class 101 and they have this pool of office managers in town that have done this at other doctor's offices so they figure it works everywhere. Same poor management and customer service/experience everywhere you go. So since it's the same everywhere why change doctors? Dr. Whittington's bedside manner is good and he seems like a good man, I just wish he'd taken an active role in his office/staff and how it's managed.

So, my last vist consisted of me being sent to an x-ray place in the building where Dr. Whittington's office is and then blood work at Lab Corp. Three co-pays latter and 6 days and no one has called me with any results, and I am still sick. I just got off the phone with the rude receptionist and she told me a nurse would call me back. What about the doctor, can't he call?
