This provider prescribed prism glasses for my 6 year old for superior oblique palsy (his specialty), which upon second opinion after six months, he does not have at all. Both doctor and staff put words in my sons mouth that he was seeing double vision and he never even presented with a head tilt. Upon questioning family and friends at their elementary schools and my work, I found out that 4 of them had went elsewhere for their care because of a strange colloidal medicine being offered as treatment for multiple different conditions and no confidence in his diagnosis. He is the only pediatric act in town, I urge you to seek treatment out of Danbury.

Dr. Mathias was rude when I returned to him because I could not see well with the new glasses I ordered with the prescription he gave me. He did not check my retina even though I told him I was transferring to him because another ophthalmologist told me my retina was abnormal. When I later asked to speak to him about the severe retinal diagnosis I was given he refused to speak to me.
