The photo ID was no biggie. I signed paperwork acknowledging a "scribe" in the treatment room. The chair that rose was cool. I had problems with swimmer's ear for 2 months...and multiple visits/phone calls to an urgent care clinic. I swim 5 days a week and the thought of giving up exercise was scary. The doctor understood and arranged treatment that allowed me to continue swimming. My ears stopped itching immediately after the first application of the drops he prescribed. I would highly recommend this Doctor. State of the art office, very pleasant staff, very nice and highly competent doctor.

I returned the required new patient paperwork and provided my insurance card at the front desk. Suddenly the employee, without absolutely any explanation, moves a computer mini camera into my face and takes an electronic image. I was in shock. The proper procedure is to ask for an ID (driver’s license, passport, etc.). If a photo is required the employee must explain and obtain the patient consent first and mention the consequences if you refuse*.

Then after waiting a long time the MD calls me to his office where there is a woman at a desk typing my interaction with the MD. Then without any notice I am suddenly lifted automatically in my chair toward the ceiling. More trauma because the reason for coming to see this MD was vertigo. Then quickly the robotic MD processes me and I am given a printed fact sheet about my diagnosis. I really don't see myself recommending them to anyone. I wasn't happy with their care and wouldn't want someone else to be traumatized as I was.

* I did some research in the Internet and left a message with an employee about the unauthorized photo episode but never received a call back.
