Dr Arkin has been my endocrinologist for over 2 years. When I was originally diagnosed with hypo-thyroidism, it was by another doctor, referred thru insurance. Not only did I found it difficult to make appointments and get the staff to call me back, I found that the staff & doctor too were uninterested in making me well. And when you have severe symtoms of Hypo-T, you are so sick and so unbearably uncomfortable in your own skin that having a doctor or his staff not care is the worst feeling possible.

Thru a friend I heard about Dr Arkin so I made the call and obtained an appt within a couple of days. His staff was very friendly and obviously well-trained in their roles. But what I most appreciated was Dr Arkin himself. He listened... he listened to what I had to say AND actually made notes, asked questions and did a thorough exam. He spent an enormous amount of time with me which is unheard of these days, and does so each time I visit him. I've never met a doctor display so much empathy toward my illness. It's like he actually felt what I was feeling.

Dr Arkin is my hero!
