I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed.

They barely acknowledged me and rushed me in and out of the office. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They never mention anything about promotions when I'm there. They left me completely alone for a long time and I became very nervous. I had a 4:30 PM appointment and was seen at 6:00 PM . I was with the doctor approximately 5 minutes. I felt that my questions were comletely discounted, as if he was ready to leave and go home. I never received and answer as to why I waited so long. I feel as though this is a total abuse of the paitent/ caregiver relationship.

I would like to share my experience with Dr. Jonathan Liss. My 15 years old daughter has had SEVERE back pain for the past 6 weeks and was referred to Dr. Liss. In her first office visit, my insurance company was billed $277.00 for less than 30 minutes of his precious time. In this 30 minutes she was jerked around and told "there is NO WAY you can be hurting like this or even in that "place". After seeing several different doctors, I had high hopes that this one would be able find the problem and help my child. She has had several MRI's that revealed bulging disc's and possible arthritis. He did not seem to think the results of the MRI's were relevant to her pain but decided to order a bone scan and proceeded to tell her she was overweight. My child has maintained an "average" size for the past several years. She had the bone scan 1 week ago. I called the office to get the results as her pain has returned and is worse than when she was hospitalized to start with. Dr. Liss refused to talk to me or her about the results until the next office visit which was originally scheduled for the end of November but now moved to mid November, again disregarding the pain she is experiencing. After several calls to his office, a staff member returned my call and advised Dr. Liss was going to call a new medication in and to see him in a week. Being a mother and seeing the pain my daughter is in, I feel like she should have been seen within a day or so, if not worked in. Keep in mind her pain is so severe she is unable to function properly! Now...I go to the pharmacy to purchase the medicine expecting to pay the normal co-pay of $20-$50, only to be told the medicine is NOT covered under my insurance plan and the regular price is $163.00. The pharmacist informed me she contacted his office to have them submit a request to the insurance company deeming this medically necessary. Had the doctor decided to do this (since he is the one who wrote the prescription) my insurance would have covered the medicine. Unfortunately, Dr. Liss told the pharmacy he REFUSED to call my insurance company just because "he didn't feel like it" and that would be MY responsibility. Well, since I am NOT the physician, I can't call and have them authorize the approval and therefore was unable to purchase the medicine. I have also lost my job of 17 years due to my daughter's illness and the inability to find a physician here that can diagnose and fix her problem. Clearly, I DO NOT have the funds to pay $163.00 for medicine because this physician just doesn't feel like calling the insurance company. My job was very important to me but my child is #1 and always will be. I will do whatever it takes to ensure she is properly diagnosed and treated for her illness but I can PROMISE it WON'T be from any doctor in Columbus Ga. I will be driving her to Emory University tomorrow in hopes of having a much more pleasant experience there!
