Every time I tried to talk about myself or my circumstances, I felt like they were judging me. It was hard to open up. They don't really take that extra step to make me feel special. I'm just another client to them. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected them. The appointments are sometimes rushed and you dont always feel heard by the doctor. He tends to stick to facts and speak only from his expertise instead of listening and partnering with his patient. It maybe because he is one of the older doctors from another generation. Either way I did not feel I could make an informed decision when my concerns were sometimes dismissed with factual conversations. I found this to be especially true when I wanted to change medications because of the side affects of the first perscription. Although the side affect did not bother the doctor it bothered me. Although I was alllowed to switch the attitude of the doctor were quite dismissive and authortative. At one point I was told that he would not argue wtih me. I found what he called an arguement is only a discussion about the concerns I have. I am only staying because I am almost done with my medication and will no longer need to come see him. Although I would still recommend him to get the medication, I would not send someone who needs therapy in addition or a sensitive person. That type fo patient will need to be heard and understood which happens only 50% of the time at this office.

WARNING--DANGER--STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. This creep is the most unproffesional, uncaring medical person I have ever dealt with. He wants you in and out of his office asap. Don't dare question him. My wife and I asked him to write a note for her office and he dropped us!. Told us his practice was cutting back. He is nasty and arrogant. A Harvard degree on the wall but not worth a nickel.

I was having marital troubles with my bi-polar wife and went to visit him. He prescribed ADD medication for my wife (misdiagnosis) and gave me a minute amount of divalproex for irritabiliy. He diagnosed and prescribed after talking to me for about 15 minutes. When I followed up with another psychiatrist he said it was such a minute amount it couldn't possibly have an effect and in any case divalproex isn't used for irritability. The actual reasons for my irritability and marital problems was my wife's undiagnosed bi-polar. Once she got treatment from a different psychiatrist, our problems have dissapated. I feel betrayed because I believe he essentially gave me a placebo to placate my wife. He's also a bit strange, with an odd ticky cough that is distracting. I advise anyone considering him to seek help elsewhere. My wife and I wasted 2 years following his misdiagnosis.

During my appointment, I never once felt listened to or understood. They didn't seem to care about anything I had to say. I couldn't believe how rude and inconsiderate they were. I showed up before their scheduled closing time and they said they were closing. They knew I needed help but they still decided to close early. Their office was a little too loud. It wasn't unbearably loud but it was starting to hurt my ears.

They make no effort to make me feel special. I don't think they appreciate my loyalty to them. They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. I felt very judged during my appointments. I couldn't wait for it to be over.
