I met Dr. Mannan shortly after my son's birth (11 yrs ago) at Harbor. At our two week appt. my son was slightly jaundiced but Dr. M actually TRUSTED me as a third time mom, and said I was doing everything 'right' ie. stripping him down and laying him in the sunlight to reduce his billirubin(sp) count. He never makes you feel dumb as most other docs I have encountered even tho he disagreed w/ my decision not to administer an MMR shot at a certain point as my son seemed "spacey", and I was concerned about side-affects of vaccines.(I am one of those "nuts" who does herbs and dietary fixes for health issues). Ask him how often I show up with my son with health problems..never, haven't seen him in years, but I would like to say 11 years later, I finally removed gluten from my son's diet and he is on point and no longer 'floating' mentally through life. i should report this to Dr. Mannan I suppose. Thank you Dr. M for your 'realness' and being a partner in my child's health, not some 'superior entity' making me feel like an uneducated fool as most dr.s do.....Dr. M, you ROCK my friend. (I don't know if he reviews files everyday before seeing patients, but how does he know my first name and my son's after years go by between visits... very smart of you....( if you do)) Thumbs up to the best Dr.(in the medical industry) I have ever met. and I mean that with all my heart... Kudos Dr. Mannan!
They were friendly and made me feel at home. The waiting room at this pediatrician's office had two separate areas, one for "sick" kids and one for "well" kids. This really gave me a peace of mind that my child wouldn't get sick. The staff really knows what they're doing, and they know a lot about the company they work for. They're able to answer most of my questions, and the only ones they don't are the ones they need their boss's approval for. They are one of the most respected pediatricians in my community. Every parent I know thinks very highly of them. I got an appointment quickly. I've never had to wait too long.
