Came in with a broken tooth from lunch. Toi Nguyen failed to identify the broken tooth, but did find two others that needed crowns. I left the office $1200 poorer for the crown work on two teeth ($400 later reimbursed) but with the same broken tooth I had arrived with. When I pointed out that neither of the two teeth worked on was the broken one, I was told the fault was mine for not having pointed out the specific tooth that I had broken--x-rays and his experience notwithstanding. Not a good experience. I was then told the original broken tooth would need to be extracted and potentially a sinus lift performed. He referred me to an oral surgeon. Not feeling comfortable with this advice I sought a second opinion. Second dentist said I did not need to lose the tooth and only a crown was needed, which the second dentist performed successfully.
