I used to be a patient of Dr. Rick when I was young. Once I had children, there was no doubt in my mind where I would take them! Dr. Rick is exceptional! He takes the time to explain everything to the children in terms they understand and makes sure they are comfortable with the process before proceeding. He genuinely cares about each and every patient, and you can tell he LOVES his job! The staff make it a fun place to visit, offering them sunglasses to wear when they have check ups/cleanings/fillings, and use fun names for the tools they use(ex. "tickle toothbrush"). There are all sorts of puzzles, games and activites to do while they wait. The office and decor is bright, fun, and clean. My children actually get excited to go to the dentist to see Dr. Rick!
Recently, my 6 year old son had a scooter-to-mouth injury that happened on a Saturday evening. I contacted Dr. Rick at his after hours number and he responded to my call quickly. I appreciated his willingness to help us avoid a Emergency office visit, by emailing him photos of the mouth/teeth to better determine if we indeed needed to be seen. Unfortunately, we did, but Dr. Rick was VERY kind, and met us at the office within an hour! He and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, and were prepared and had a plan before we walked in the door! We were made comfortable, and treated like family members. I appreciate that Dr. RIck takes the time to explain what he is doing, and why, and also the potential outcomes of the situation. My son ended up having one baby tooth pulled, and the front adult tooth re-inserted into the socket and braced. He had his check up this week, and is doing great! We feel SO blessed to have Dr. Rick, and would highly recommend him to anyone and everyone!
