First the positive: I needed to be seen immediately and they worked me in with no problem. The doctor was very nice and she tried her best to perform my procedure without inflicting added pain. I appreciated that. Here's the not-so-positive: When I arrived and realized they didn't accept debit cards for my copayment, I thought I was stuck. However, I felt relieved when I realized that they do accept checks. I pulled out my checkbook to pay my copayment and was told that they could not accept my check. I could only pay in cash. There are two signs CLEARLY POSTED in the office that state: "We accept cash and check only; No credit cards. Make checks payable to...." But they wouldn't accept my check? When I reminded her of the sign, she said: "Oh well, as a new patient, you have to pay with cash a few times first before we can accept your check." I had to get back in my car, drive to the credit union, withdraw my copay amount, drive back to the office and pay them in cash; all of this, mind you, while I had throbbing pain radiating through my face and neck. I knew at that moment this would be my first and last visit. It's their absolute right not to accept checks. However, when your signs state that you do accept checks, then you refuse to accept mine, that's just not a place I want to go back to. Apparently there was something about me that made them feel my check wouldn't clear and I don't have time for that. There ARE other dentists.

I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. They are an absolute expert in the field. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. They made sure every single question I had was answered, and are always available if I think of any more questions I want answered. I didn't experience any pain during my teeth cleaning. They are always very careful and gentle. There was no annoying music playing while I waited or during my visit. I appreciated that they didn't have that typical elevator music on. They have interesting publications to keep me busy in the waiting room.
