I would not recommend Dr. Dematteis for braces/invisalign. He's a nice guy, but does not know what he is doing. He told me my treatment was complete but my bite was very off and wasn't comfortable. I went to see another orthodontist and turns out I needed to get braces, after having invisalign with him for over two years when treatment was supposed to be 9 months to a year.

SCAM ARTISTS! IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS OFFICE REQUEST COPIES OF EVERY SINGLE DOCUMENT BEING SENT TO YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY!! THEY WILL FORGE YOUR SIGNATURE ON CLAIM FORMS. I WAS BILLED UP FRONT FOR ORTHODONTIC SERVICES; HOWEVER, THEY FORGED MY SIGNATURE ON CLAIM FORMS AUTHORIZING ALL REIMBURSEMENT CHECKS TO BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THEM!!
THEY ARE QUITE UNORGANIZED AS WELL!! THEY MIXED UP MY FILE AND TRIED TO COERCE ME INTO TO GETTING AN UNNECESSARY ROOT CANAL, CLAIMING THAT IT WAS DISCUSSED PREVIOUSLY. MINUTES BEFORE PRACTICALLY STRAPPING ME INTO THE CHAIR, THEY REALIZED THEY WEREN'T EVEN READING MY FILE!

I MUST SAY THIS IS THE WORST DENTIST OFFICE IVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE. I HAD ONE BAD EPISODE WHERE THE DENTIST CRACKED MY TOOTH LIKE IT WAS NOTHING AND I NEVER WENT BACK TO HIM AGAIN. HAVING A TOOTH CLEANING WAS PLEASANT THE HYGENIST WAS NICE. I WENT BACK AGAIN BECAUSE I HAVE MEDICAID AND ITS SO HARD TO FIND A DOCTOR I SAW A DIFFERENT DENTIST AND IT WAS SO UNREAL HE TOLD ME I WAS COMMING TO SEE HIM TO FILL CAVITIES AS SOON AS I GET IN THE CHAIR HES LIKE SOOOO TODAY IS A GOOD TAY TO PULL SOME OF THESE TEETH. I FLIPPED OUT AND TOLD HIM NO. THEY DONT BOTHER ME THEY DONT HAVE TO COME OUT. SO KNOWING MEDICAID DOES NOT COVER ROOT CANAL HE SPECIFICALLY TOLD ME EITHER IT COMES OUT OR DO A ROOT CANAL. I TOLD HIM LEAVE THEM ALONE AND JUST FILL THE MINUTE CAVITY I CAME HERE TO FILL. HE NUMBS MY MOUTH AND WALKS OFF FOR LIKE A HOUR!!!!!!!!!! IN THE MEAN TIME IM BEING NOSEY AND OVERHEAR A DENTAL ASSISTANT BEING REPERMANDED FOR PUTTING UNSTERALIZED TOOLS IN STERILIZATION BAGS!!!!!!! GROSSSSSSS!!!! IM LIKE GREAT NOW I GOT SOMEONE ELSES GERMS IN MY MOUTH!!! SO HE COMES BACK AND STARTS DRILLING WITHOUT ASKING ME IF IM STILL NUMB I FLINCHED AND HE DRILLED RIGHT THROUGH THE TOOTH NEXT TO THE ONE HE WAS FIXING RIGHT AT THE GUMLINE. HE DIDNT TELL ME ANYTHING HAPPENED BUT I STARTED COMPLAINING BECAUSE I FELT A SHARP PAIN AND TASTED ALOT OF BLOOD. HE GAVE ME MORE ANASTESIA AND KEPT DRILLING. 45 MIN LATER IM LIKE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON THIS WAS NOT EVEN A QUARTER OF AN INCH CAVITY. HE STARTS PUTTING ALL TYPES OF GUNK IN MY MOUTH AND WALKS OFF TALKING ABOUT ILL BE RIGHT BACK TO TELL YOU WHATS GOING ON... WHAT DO U MEAN TELL ME WHATS GOING ON??? I THOUGHT I KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON!!! HE TELLS ME HE HIT A NERVE IN THE NEXT TOOTH AND HAD TO DRILL AND FILL BECAUSE HE HIT SOFT TISSUE.. IM THINKING WHY WAS HE TOUCHING THIS TOOTH TO BEGIN WITH AND WHY DIDNT HE TELL ME WHAT HAPPEN TO BEGIN WITH??? SO NOOWWWWW IM SITTING THERE WITH MY FIRST MOLAR HALF MISSING AND A BUNCH OF LUMPY GOOK THATS SUPPOSED TO BE A TEMP FILLING AND HES TELLING ME WHAT WENT FROM BEING A MINUTE CAVITY IS NOW A HALF A TOOTH WITH NERVE DAMAGE AND NEEDS A ROOT CANAL OR EXTRACTION.. MY THOUGHTS WERE F*CK YOU!!! HE BROKE MY TOOTH HE WAS SUPPOSED TO FILL A SMALL CAVITY AND WHAT DO I GET.... A DISCOUNT ON MY ROOT CANAL!!! 750 CASH HE WANTS AND NOT FOR NOTHING IM YOUNG WITH A SMALL FAM IN COLLEGE AND HAVE KIDS AND DONT HAVE MONEY FOR THIS ITS LIKE GOING TO A MECHANIC YOU TAKE YOUR CAR IN FOR ONE THING AND COME OUT WITH MASSIVE PROBLEMS!!!! I HAVE 2 FRIENDS WHO HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES! SAVE YOUR TEETH FROM NEEDING TO BE PULLED!! DONT GO TO THIS DENTIST!! YOUR BETTER OFF LOSING THE TOOTH ON YOUR OWN!!!
