This office was great to me until they attempted a tooth extraction. Dr. Graber, an experienced dentist, attempted but failed to remove a tooth for me. So, he referred me to an oral surgeon. Unfortunately, because it was late in the day, so I could not get there in time to be seen. And, Beekman Dental was closed the next day. So, I was in excruciating pain for 2 days. When they did open up, I came back and was denied stronger pain medicine by Dr. Dave. She told me that she couldn't prescribe anything stronger than ibuprofen. I told her that I had to take 800 mg ibuprofen every 4-6 hrs to kill the pain. She told me that although it was way too much for my body wt., that she couldn't prescribe anything more. Long story short, I finally got in to the oral surgeon who was amazing. They gave me the proper care, pain meds, and now I'm healing from my encounter with this office.
Beekman Dental could have made my experience much better by calling the oral surgeon that afternoon to make sure I could go directly over there after the failed extraction. This would have save me a lot of severe pain and the infection that followed (which was later confirmed by the oral surgeon). Instead, I was rushed out of the office with the papers, numbed to my eyeballs, trying to drive home - having no idea of the pain I would experience once the numbing wore off.
