I went to see Dr. Ip for dentures. I never had dentures before and the experience of loosing all my teeth was upsetting in itself. Dr. Ip was very cold and rude. Not at all helpful to explain to me what getting dentures would entail or help me to understand how to forsee what they would look like based on the mold they were making for my mouth. After I was seen by Dr. Ip I was left in the chair for a extreme amount of time until I got up went to the front desk and told the girls I would be right back, drove HOME to my house about 20 minutes round trip, picked up my husband, returned to the office, asked the girls if he had gone into the room for me and he hadn't. I went home to get my husband, because I came to see that Dr. Ip had absolutley no respect for women. In his native country women are treated very poorly compared to Amercian and most other women. He made me feel as though I was a non person of no importance to him and he was tolerating my being there. He was of no help with the dentures. After I got my husband, he couldn't have been more polite, and kinder. When my dentures were ready they were poorly fitted, I looked horrible in them. They aged my face and changed my jaw line. I was depressed for a long time due to this experience. Dr. told me not to come back to him for fittings but to go directly to the lab for fixing the dentures, etc. Which he is not supposed to do. The lab is only supposed to work with the dentist not the patient. Upon my speaking with the folks at the lab, I found out that I was among 10 women that went to them crying because of the treatment they recieved from Dr. Ip. This man is in America, making American money from American women. If he has a cultural hang up about women then he should take it back to were he came from. And for a relatively young man he is a disgrace. I have never been so poorly treated by the medical profession and I wouldn't give him the time of day let alone my money or business and I will tell anyone who even thinks about going to him just for the years of depression I went through because of his horrible treatment of women!
