The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly. Their prices were pretty high, but I've had to spend more at other places. I was somewhat uneasy during my appointment. I was never able to fully relax. They knocked before entering the exam room, which I found to be very professional. The nurses, especially Donna, are VERY VERY nice and answer all questions . I had no problem with them. What bothered me the most was that throughout my 9 months of pregnancy i saw my actual doctor twice and both times it was for only 2minutes which bothered me becauae i expected to get to know her before delivering.... and then on the day of my labor and birth the doctor, mayes, was M.I.A. and when they finally got a hold of her... she said she was going to go to the movies and then to dinner and then come deliver my baby??! i was dialated and my sons head was DOWNthere! and they told me to WAIT for the doctor and to not push? EXCUSE ME? they made me wait 20 minutes, contractions and all just because the doctor was M.I.A. i hope she enjoyed her dinner because my son spent a week in the NICU for being in the womb too long after he had a bowel movement. so YES i blame HER, and i would NOT reccommed this doctor to anyone...
I was never able to relax during my appointment. I was on edge the whole time. They didn't mention anything about risks or benefits. I felt really rushed like they just wanted to get me out of there. They didn't seem to know much about my medical history or pre-existing conditions. I had to explain everything, which was very inconvenient. It was difficult to find parking at their office. I had to look for a while and was almost late for my appointment. Staff is rude and the doctor spends no time with you. You are a number to them specifically a dollar sign.
One thing that's been so annoying about Annette Mayes, MD, is that they always end up postponing my appointments, making me wait over an hour each time, or pawning me off on the assistants. I'm usually not even notified that they're going to postpone it until after I've been waiting for my scheduled appointment. The magazines in their waiting room were so boring. Its crowded, loud, dirty, and overbooked. I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else.
I always have the best experience every time I have an appointment here. Although I have not had much to complain about, I have noticed that they strongly adhere to the customer is always right policy and if anything goes wrong make every effort to correct the situation. They've answered a couple of my questions over the phone, but most of the time I have to schedule an appointment. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. The one thing that I really enjoy about this place is their high level of customer service. Their full attention is always on me and they never take personal calls during my appointment. I've been to other places that answer their phone and it just drives me crazy. The wait was absolutely ridiculous. It messed up my entire day. ..Her ratings would be even higher if she would re-train her office staff, they are absolutely horrible..they don't return calls, follow ups aren't adhered to and you get more feedback from the answering service then her actual staff..Lunch hour is also optional for them..its states that the office is close for one hr..well they regularly take ( especially on Thursday or Fridays) a little extra..my last call which was on 4/14/11 I called them at the "allotted time" that they state on the automated voicemail and I still got the answering service 1.5 hrs later! unbelievable!
