I was very happy with the level of care I received at Dr. Altman's office. I went to him for a hip pain - found out I had torn a ligament in my hip. The injury wasn't severe & his course of treatment worked as expected. Dr. Altman's staff is very friendly & quite helpful when trying to schedule an appt. The wait time at his office was minimal, no longer than 12 minutes & that was probably b/c I got there early. I was also quite impressed with his straight-forward approach. He speaks to his patients in a clinical yet easy to understand manner. He didn't appear to be the type of doctor to over prescribe medication. He was thorough & knowledgable. Subsequent to my visit, I brough my 19 y/o son to him for a 2nd opinion of a severe ankle sprain. He examined the xrays we brought & ordered an MRI b/c the xrays were not clear enough to determine the extent of my son's injury. Dr. Altman recommended a treatment plan & reserving surgery as a last alternative. I am very pleased with his decision to avoid an invasive procedure without first exhausting other available methods of treatment. I would recommend Dr. Altman to friends and family alike.
