I was having occasional episodes of BPH (urinary blockage) and had to have a catheter inserted each time in the ER to relieve the intense bladder pressure. Dr. Lerner recommended that I have a TURP procedure done. However, since they weren't happening that often, I thought surgery wasn't necessary for only an occasional occurrence. However, by late 2014 and into early 2015, the BPH attacks got more frequent. There were instances of near panic when I called Dr. Lerner desperate for what to do. What ensued was amazing: on each occasion, he kept calling and calling until he got me - and this was after hours, when other doctors would be home enjoying their nightcap. In one of our last phone conversations I was near tears and desperate, and said to him "I can't live this way." He was so compassionate in understanding my near despair that I felt as if he was family, or a close friend I had known for life.

Needless to say I soon had the surgery, which was 100% successful and changed my life forever - and I mean that literally - I felt like a new person.

As an aside, on the post-operative end of my experience, my family and I so enjoyed the visits by Dr. Lerner. His bedside manner is astonishing. His light-hearted manner and joking around instantly relieved any tension and made us very comfortable in listening to his updates and prognoses.

Even though years later, I am still emotional as I write this. I am forever grateful to Dr. Lerner.

I'm always amazed at how considerate and concerned they are for my well-being. Their advice is always wonderful and completely unbiased. Just as a side note, this business is really conveniently located and is close to everything. It is right off and freeway and close to all kinds of shops. I was able to do my shopping for the week right after my appointment. Their office was extremely easy to locate. I probably could have found it blindfolded. I would never go to anyone else. They are the best in the field. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for.
