Not at all, I showed up early and they were ready to see me

I saw doctor Hewitt at her previous practice on Hollister Street. I had been a patient for about 10 years. For about two years I was very sick and had several surgeries and I did not have my annual exam with her. After I recovered I scheduled an appointment but when I should up the office worker told me Dr Hewitt could no longer take see me as a patient because it had been two years since my last exam and I was a medicare patient. I was not given the courtesy of a phone call but was embarrassed when they told me in the office..Lucky for me Dr Kade, another physician in the practice, said she would take me as a patient...That was the only reason I was given after all the years..While I am happy with Dr Kade, I just do not know how Dr Hewitt could just say no more medicare patients!!

I would definitely not recommend Dr. Hewitt to anyone. While the office staff and facility are great, she has absolutely horrific bedside manner and does not listen to her patients (or at least she didn't listen to me) and their concerns. At one point she even told me that she didn't know what I wanted her to do for me. Um...I would like for you to get to the root of my problem and help me fix it rather than testing me for numerous STDs I cannot possibly have and trying to convince me that I'm being cheated on. I understand that she deals with a lot of sticky situations, but that does not mean that every young woman who walks into her office has an STD or is in a bad relationship, so she should not automatically assume that is the case. Next time, she should probably avoid conversations including "WHEN (not if) you and your boyfriend break up and you start sleeping with other men, we should consider the HPV shot."
