They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. They were easy to reach in an emergency. When I called they answered right away and I was so relieved to hear a friendly voice. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. They always make an extra effort to make me feel respected and attended to. They always listen to every question or concern I may have.

I love Dr. Dawn Bankston ! Her and her staff are so sweet and a pleasure to be around. Jessica Blackburn is also so kind and thoughtful.

They were so easy to reach in an emergency, they answered my call immediately. It is a relief to know that I can count on them to always be there for me when I need them the most. They had already reviewed my medical history before the appointment, and went over it with me in the exam room so as not to miss anything. They were extremely thorough and made sure not to miss one detail. They have some of the best customer service I have ever seen. Putting their customers first is definitely a priority here and it shows. I've been other places that left me unattended for quite awhile, but not here. They would never leave me unattended and they always go the extra mile to make me feel cared for. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want.

But I feel compelled to share my experience with Dr Bankston with all of you.

I went through two miscarriages with her and she seemed compassionate and sweet the first time around (although she didn't shake hands with me which I was a bit taken aback by). However the second time around was different. I was able to have testing done but on the first visit my BP was elevated. No big deal. However at my next visit we checked my BP again and it was (naturally) elevated again due to some stress I was under. She immediately pushed meds. I refused and stuck to my guns. Dr B did not respect my choice and read me the Riot Act, dismissing my every concern and made me feel horrible and invalidated, including making some very unprofessional remarks and gave me advice in a rude and unprofessional manner.

I had my BP checked the next day and it was normal on its own (!); the difference a day makes. It has consistently been normal outside of her office. Needless to say, since BP and BP meds are indeed nothing to joke about, I felt that jumping straight to meds (without investigating further into whether I even really had HTN) was very poor judgment on her part and as a result I will not be returning to her practice.

To be fair, though, the office staff are very friendly, sweet and helpful.
