this place is the bigest loke in virginia. the drs. are there for thier checks and to hell with the vets. mental health is the bigest joke of all. a dr. (or at least they have papers saying they are) will see you for approx. 15 min every 3 to 4 months and in that time they are to busy to talk to a vet just up meds. they dont care what you have to say and dont want to hear it. i have been going there for quite a few years, and listening to other patients, things have progressively gotten worse to the point you are the first letter of your last name and the last 4 of your social. you are there so they can draw there fat paychecks. yes i am going off but i also have to drive 2 hrs. each way for a 15 min appointment. it is near impossible for them to schedule more than 1 appointment for the same day and if they do plan on being there all day because they wont be anywhere in a close timeframe. at the present i am being seen by the diabetic clinic and mental health. i do go to other clinics but not as often as these. as for the diabetic clinic learn all you can about the desiese and take care of yourself as best you can. as for the mental health. what a joke. i see a dr.REDDY there (and please remember this name in case you have to go there) who knows no more of being a psychiatrist than your pet. he wants you in and out as quick as possible and does not care anymore about you than the man in the moon. this is not just my feelings but other vets as well that i have talked to. if at all possible get medicare through social security so you can choose someone who might want to take the time to help you. as far as salem is concerned we are a bunch of vets whom waise their time. probibly because they couldnt get jobs anywhere else. all of my comments are true and accurate and i want all vets out there to know. if you dont believe it just go there and hang out and ask other vets what they think of the place.
