My brother was at Burke Health & Rehab Center after he had a severe stroke. He is on the younger side and was completely independent prior to the stroke and had a very successful job. After seeing him at the hospital I was determined to find the best rehab facility possible. The nurses, physical therapist and social worker at Sentara Potomac Hospital recommended that I tour Burke Rehab. I was so impressed from the first moment I walked in to the building. I was greeted by the evening nurse who showed me around and answered my questions. The rehab gym is huge with lots of equipment and staff. The building is very clean and bright, which really helped my brother with his recovery. All of the staff members, from the nurses, aides, cleaning ladies and physical therapists were so kind, helpful and really helped my brother regain his ability to walk, talk and return to life. He did not know where he was when he entered Burke and at the end, he walked out on his one...not even using a cane! I am so thankful for all of the staff at Burke Rehab for all of their dedication and skill in helping people recover!

I am so thankful for all of the staff at Burke Health & Rehab Center. My mother recovered there after a fall and fractured hip (needed surgery too). She was completely independent before the fall- went to church daily, volunteered at the pediatric unit at Fairfax Hospital and came to weekly soccer games to support her grandchildren. Thanks to all of the rehab staff and equipment available in the rehab room, she is able to walk again and back to being independent. Everyone was so caring and helpful at Burke Health & Rehab Center- from the receptionist, every physical therapist, all the nurses, social worker and the cleaning ladies. My mother would not have been able to have such a great recovery without the help of everyone at Burke!

Burke Health and Rehab is by far the best facility in the area. It is very clean, bright and inviting throughout the entire place, which is very important to the rehab process. The entire staff made my grandmother feel welcomed and cared for from the moment she arrived from the hospital. The rehab staff is beyond excellent...they worked so hard to make sure she could return walking independently and safely move around her house again. I was so impressed with all of the equipment in the gym as well! The social workers were so helpful to helping her transition home and ordered the equipment she needed and made sure it arrived on time. I am so thankful for all of the care she got and that she is back home again. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs rehab!
