This Facility is a true representation of the nightmare families and elderly struggle with on a conception of "Nursing Home". Nurses are not attentive and barely communicate with patients or families. My family member complained about pain for hours and had a CNA chuckle at her response of rating her pain at a 10 as if going through agonizing pain isn't enough imagine being laughed at by the person you should raise concerns to. Furthermore this patients room hadn't been swept or mopped in 4 days to visit and see the same trash on the floor. Suffering from a bed sore they state patients should switch sides every 2 hours well that is impossible considering nurse and CNAs only come in beginning and ending of shifts. If you have a family member or loved one you care for save yourself the stress, time at this facility would be time wasted if your hoping for progress DO NOT COME HERE.

THIS FACILITY HAS TO BE THE WORST EVER. MY MOM STAYED HERE FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME AND WENT FROM OKAY TO BEING IN THE WORST SHAPE OF HER LIFE. THE NURSES AT THIS FACILITY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS NOT ONE BIT. THE ONLY ONES I CAN SAY WERE GOOD TO MY MOM WERE TWO MA'S THEY TREATED MY MOTHER LIKE FAMILY. OTHER THAN THAT EVERYONE ELSE WAS TERRIBLE INCLUDING THE DIRECTOR OF THIS FACILITY. ONE DAY I CAME IN AND FOUND ONE OF THE RESIDENTS ON THE FLOOR HE HAD FALLEN OUT HIS WHEELCHAIR AND I COULD FIND NO ONE TO HELP FOR OVER 10 MINUTES. I TOLD THE DIRECTOR WHAT I HAD SEEN THE NEXT DAY AND SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE COULDN'T DISCUSS ANOTHER RESIDENT WITH ME AND BRUSHED OFF THE FACT THE MAN WAS ON THE FLOOR WITH HALF THE WHEELCHAIR ON HIM THAT I MOVED BECAUSE HE WAS INCAPABLE OF DOING. I THEN TOOK MY MOM OUT IMMEDIATELY. THIS FACILITY SAYS THEY ARE "HOLY" AND "SAINT" NO THESE PEOPLE DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT A CHECK. THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN THE UNITED STATES IS SCREWED UP. THESE PEOPLE WHO DESERVE CARE AND WORK ALL THEIR LIVES TO BE ABLE TO GET IT COME TO PLACES LIKE THIS TO DIE.

Their equipment was current, nothing special though. I wish they would update their equipment a little more. Their facility was clean enough, nothing special though. Most of the staff is unfriendly, not concerned and inconsiderate. They argue amongst themselves in front of visitors (me) as to who is supposed to help this or the other resident. They do not look like happy employees. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. The residents' needs and wants are not their priority. i.e. my mom likes daily showers, they shower or take the residents to shower only twice a week or every other day! I bought velvet clothes hangers for my mother, they insist on using their plastic ones, which are difficult to handle and get tangled up in the closet. They lost over 75% of her clothes. A grievance was filed and nothing was done. Had one or two nice nursing assistants, one nice social worker. At the front end only Lotie seems to be interested in taking care of the visitors. Mami was always struggling with incontinence and this was one of her main problems, which was not adequately addressed. The drop that spilled the cup? My mother's upper and lower dentures became molded, because she was not helped with their cleansing or reminded (she has dementia) with the excuse that "she does not let them take them off" which I was not notified of, so I can address it with her. They have a beautiful butterfly garden and lots of quails that reproduce right there and this puts a smile in their face. My mother enjoyed being in the garden! They are "Christians" so when I asked about catholic mass, they stated that nobody attends it, so they do not have catholic mass or service, only Eucharistic ministers that come around with the Eucharist. This, I do not think is their fault, I guess the local catholic church choose not to go there, or were not invited. I do not know. The food is good. The rooms are not bright enough unless you turn on the lights.

The facility barely qualifies for the 1 star rating. The staff though somewhat caring is barely qualified for medical rehabilitation care. My father was there recently after open heart surgery and had to be taken back to the emergency room after 3 days with fluid in his lungs, something that any qualified medical personnel would've spotted easily. He was sent there on the recommendation by his Surgeon and that was a big mistake. There is only 1 registered nurse on the floor for all beds & only nurse assistants are there for actual care. When he was taken back to the hospital, the nurses at the hospital themselves said that they would never take their loved ones there. There are better options especially with Rehabilitation Hospitals in the area. All I can say is to visit the facility and trust what your gut tells you based on what you see. If you have loved ones already in there, I'd take them out as they aren't getting the care that they deserve.

I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. I am always so impressed with how quickly my calls are answered here. I am never put on hold for a long time and love knowing that if I have a quick question I won't have to wait a half hour through terrible music to get it answered. There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking.
