I have a loved one at Southpointe and my family and I are about to transfer them out. This place is just dreadful! First of all, whomever does the hiring should be fired first. They hire degenerates that look like poeple hooked on drugs. The CNA's and RN's have terrible dispositions, they don't want to resolve any problems and don't mind neglecting patients. They cover up for each others mistakes and even come to work sick and/or looking like they are high on a drug. Many patients sit in their own feces and urine, many patients are being made ill by the staff. They are not washeed properly, many patients have rashes and food crustations on thier skin FOR DAYS!!!! The facility is seriously understaffed and on the weekend they never even answer the phones. The administrator makes girls come to work visibly sick and therefore endagers the health of the patients. He also never communicates with families and resents individual family memebers if they complain. This is an extremely bad facility and it needs to be cleaned out from the top down. Once again DO NOT send your loved here!

My grandfather was staying at Southpoint just for rehab, and I will never have another family member stay there again. For one, the nurse he had Christine (Cookside) just talked about sports all day, and constantly on her cell phone talking sports and about her party weekends. In addition to her conversations, she stole undergarments from my grandfather not once, but twice. Finally when we were about to discharge him, we came to the conclusion that he had no red socks. Everyday we would give him two pairs, one red and one white. Then several days later, Christine was spotted wearing the red sox! But seriously, how unprofessional is this place? These fake nurses are supposed to care for their patients, and they are stealing undergarments and SOCKS from old men! So Christine here is to your GREAT weekend!!!!! GO RED SOX!

My dad was in this rehab facility for a week and he had a very poor experience. The center seems to be understaffed and it shows. Almost every day there seemed to be some other issue I needed to address with his care. For example, on two occasions attendants forgot to reattach his oxygen. You really need to stay on top of them. Some employees were not courteous or responsive to patient needs others were fine in this regard. I was also not impressed with the administration which tended to want to make excuses when problems arose rather than work to solve them. We ended up transferring my dad out as soon as we had the chance and he’s much better off now.
