I have been getting my hair colored by Amber at this salon for about 6 months and was really happy with her and the quality of service she performed at the salon. Recently, I had my hair colored by her and I was not happy with the shade of orange that my hair took on. I called her a few hours after getting my hair done to let her know that I was not happy with it and to see if there was something that could be done to fix the orange color. She told me that it was the same color that she had always used and so I asked her if maybe it needed to be kept on my hair a little bit longer than it was in order to get the brown to come out as opposed to the orange. She told me to live with the color and wash it a few times for about a week and see if I still felt that it was too orange. I went out of town for a few days and when I came back I called her to let her know that the orange had not gone away and asked her if I could come in to get the orange color fixed. She said yes but she said she would have to charge me to fix the color because it was now 13 days since she first colored my hair. I reminded her that I had called her a few hours after my appointment and that she told me to live with it for a while and see if it got any better. Her response was "yes, but our policy is anything after one week and we have to charge you for it." This was the first I had ever heard of any type of policy that their salon had. I told her that I didn't even know what to say to her at this point since she was the one who told me to live with my hair for a while and didn't let me know that there was a one week time limit on her work. I told her that I would find someone else to do my hair from now on and she said ok. Shocking. I have been getting my hair colored for over 20 years and have never had anyone tell me that I should try to live with the color. Let alone not want to fix a less than satisfactory color job. Be very careful if you are letting her color your hair.
