I had to wait for a little while after I arrived for my appointment, but I've had to wait longer at other places. They would never suggest that I buy something that wasn't necessary, and never pressured me. They were always very considerate and professional. They are so kind and caring, and they stay open way past their closing time to help anyone who needs them. They wouldn't deny anyone that needed help. I know I can always count on them. They've never been late to any of my appointments. I've even showed up early sometimes and they've always been ready and prepared. This is a really different kind of dental practice, genuinely concerned and highly trained Dr. K. Thanks for putting the passion in what you do!

In the past, I have never felt comfortable going to a dentist. I would experience a lot of anxiety to go along with my overall dislike for spending time in a dental chair. When my wife found Afinia Dental and told me how professional the staff was, I decided to switch dentists and give them a try. Over the past 2-1/2 months, I only have very good things to say about Dr. Killgore, the staff, and the very professional dental assistants. Over this time period, I had three much needed crowns (made in-house by Afinia Dental) as well as perio scaling. During my initial visit, I found out what I needed and was able to leave with an agreed upon treatment plan (with the costs) for completing the work (there was no pressure during the treatment plan discussions). During all of the dental work, I was always comfortable and was told what was taking place at any given time. I also realized during the dental work that it was not just being done to be done; it was being done with the utmost perfection. I even joked during my second crown that I might take up having dental work done as a hobby, as I was very comfortable during the various procedures.

I will say, if you are looking for a new dentist, it is worth your time to visit Afinia Dental. In my opinion, Dr. Killgore is the best dentist I have ever had and his dental assistants are the best I have ever experienced. On top of this, I was able to get my dental work done on my schedule, which included Saturday and evening hours.

Afinia Dental - Specifically Dr. Kilgore - is a must. From the initital consultation I was hooked. State of the art facilities and procedures -- digital xrays, crowns produced on-site, laser cleaning etc. I left my dentist of 25 years permanently after discovering the caring, expertise, fairness and overall "treatment plan" approach that was laid out for me on my first visit. Dr. Kilgore's availability (office hours, e-mail etc.) was such a refreshing change from the M-F I had worked my life around prior to Afinia.. His staff and assistants work as a 'dental team' with the patient their number 1 priority.

I have had the following dental procedures completed with 100% satisfaction:
Cleaning
Filling
Crown (Multiple)
Root Canal
Tooth Extraction
Whitening (in progress)
Fitting for a implant

All of these procedures were done with my comfort as #1 priority. I have literally not felt a thing!! Whatever I needed to make me comfortable was provided for - prior to the visit, during the procedure, and following - whether that be thorough consultation, referrals of other patients, pain medication or simply very very kind staff there to 'hold your hand'.

If you are new to the area, looking for a dentist that will work around your hectic schedule not vice versa, or have children that vanish at the mention of dentist, Afinia and Dr. Kilgore are a must. Pay them a visit and see for yourself!!

I won't see another dentist.

This Dentist may look good on the outside, but he is really only after your money. My wife had a root canal with this Dentist with an estimate. I informed them that our insurance coverage cap is $1000 and to skip the panoramic scan b/c that will take up too much of our insurance coverage. My wife went, not knowing what a panoramic scan is b/c obviously she isn't a DDS. They did it anyways. I did not know about it. We went in for her appointment for her root canal and they had a set amount bill for me. I triple checked with them to make sure this was accurate based on a $1000 cap with our insurance b/c we wouldn't be able to afford anything over the $565 that was quoted. Now months down the road, they are telling me that insurance didn't pay b/c I have a $1000 cap on my insurance! So they are forcing me to pay an additional $125. If they would have done what I asked in the first place and skip the panoramic scan, it would have been fully accurate. DO NOT USE THIS OFFICE! They don't know what they are talking about. A 7 year old knows more about insurance than they do! Inaccurate, long waits, inexperienced, rude.

I noticed in the response from Afinia Dental that they are so focused on discredited me that they completely neglect to mention that I contacted their office several times in an attempt to make smaller payments. I made smaller payments and made a new arrangement with the office which they verbally agreed to. I made 1 payment in a smaller amount, then less than 2 weeks later, I get a collections notice. However, I am very touched with how much personal information this dentist office is willing to share with everyone over the internet. Keep this in mind if you schedule with this dentist, that nothing is sacred and all of your information is "public domain".

I ordinarily do not post things online because I don't want to compromise my security, hence the lack of a profile! my experience here was so good I just felt compelled to praise the office.

I was impressed that all of the equipment was new and state-of-the art. It was also immaculately clean. Everyone who worked there was extremely friendly. I have already made another appointment!

My first experience with Afinia was over the phone, where the receptionist was knowledgable and friendly. I have not taken such good care of my teeth because I am afraid of the dentist but with the pain I was in I had to go. I made an appointment with the dentist who, after thoroughly examining me, determined I would need a root canal. YUCK! Since my teeth were in such bad shape I was very embarrassed but the dr. never made me feel ashamed of the condition my teeth were in. He was polite and not judgemental. He was very kind and caring and discussed the procedure with me to put me at ease. I worked out a payment plan with his staff, based on the estimated cost since my insurance might not cover it all. They were very accomodating with my budget and making monthly installments. I was really satisfied with Afinia Dental and, even though I still don't like going to the dentist I will be back and will tell my family and friends to try them out as well!

My recent visit to Afinia Dental was the best I have had. The staff was helpful and professional. Dr. Killgore did a wonderful job in explaining the procedure and what I need to do for future dental health. They handled my insurance and made the visit so easy. I was also impressed with the technology that they have on sight. I did not have to wait weeks go get impressions back from a lab somewhere, it was completed on sight. This saved me time and $$ since I only had to take off work one time. Thanks for a great experience! I will be back and am recommending Afinia Dental to friends and family. tj neal

I am sorry that Mr. He feels the way he does. At Afinia Dental we strive in every way to be here for the needs and well being of our patients. We do exams and diagnostic X-rays as the main tool of diagnosing caries or any other dental problems.
The patient always knows ahead of time what we are doing and has every opportunity to decline any treatment.
Insurance quotes are ALWAYS an estimate and we repeat this fact to every patient with insurance. It is the patient's responsibility to find out what their individual insurance carrier will pay for the treatments. We, as a courtesy to our patients, call and verify coverage and benefits for them. We print out a treatment plan with the necessary treatment, the fee for the treatments, the estimated patient portion, and the estimated insurance portion and the patient is given a copy to take home with them.
All of this was done for Mr. H's wife. Payments for treatment are due before the treatment has been started. We understand that patients may have a difficult time in paying the full amount all at once and in this case, and many others, the doctor went out of his way to help by allowing Mr. H to pay his portion in 3 monthly installments. Mr. H agreed to the terms.
Payments were to begin in February, 2009. No payments were made, statements were sent out, and no response from Mr. H.
It was not until 7 mos later that the account was turned over to collections. At that time, Mr. H called and was highly agitated and said that he was working less hours and wanted us to deduct the cost of the diagnostice panoramic x-ray so that it would cover the additional cost to him that insurance did not pick up.
We explained our policy once again to Mr. H. We also explained that at this point, the account was turned over to collections and he could contact them to work our a payment arrangement. Mr. H did come in and pay the account in full.
Afinia does and always has gone above and beyond to help our patients, make them feel welcome, and give them the absolute best in dental care. There are always exceptions when the schedule may not go according to plan, as emergencies arise. We do our best to see emergencies as quickly as possible and this may affect the schedule. In al fairness, we would know that every single patient would expect to be cared for as well as the next and understand that additional time in waiting may occur.
We are sorry that Mr. H feels the way he does but we know that every procedure was needed and done accurately and he was given ample fairness in paying his account.
The employees at Afinia Dental take great pride in knowing that they treat every single patient with the utmost compassion and care.
