I went to Dr. Ivy recently and never again will that happen. I took my puppy to him because she had been vomiting all night and wouldn't eat, which wasn't like her at all. He asked if she had diarreha and she didn't. Well while I was there he asked about her vaccinations and I gave her, her first parvo shot, she still needed the others. When i told him that he looked at me like i was stupid and rolled his eyes. He told me that puppies needed 6 parvo shots, where other vets tell me they need three. He also told me that I didnt need to be on my cell phone and was very rude. (I was calling my grandfather back so he could come get my puppy, because I had to leave and go to work and didnt know if he would be done with her exam.) So when it was all over he told me she had tonsilitous. I was glad to hear that and went to work and she started the med he gave her. She didnt act any better with in 24 hours, still not eating, vomiting and now diarreha. Now, I was worried because it was now friday and I couldn't do anything once the weekend arrived so i took her to a different vet. The new vet told me she had parvovirus. I was so angry. So i called Dr. Ivy and asked him if he ever gave her a parvo test. He said that he didnt because she didnt have diarreha, even though he knew that she didnt have all of her parvo shots. I also told him that he was a jerk to me and that i would never return to him. I had to pay him $90 to do absolutely nothing for my baby, still he just made excuses.
