Dr. John O'Brien is the best! The man truely loves animals. All you have to do is look in the barns at all the animals he has taken in that noone else wanted! Animals that take special care! Each one had their very own Christmas stockings on their stall doors filled with treats! I have known him for 16 years. He has saved my old boy horse Red ,( with lot's of prayers for him and Red!) more than once when after spending $100's at other Vet's, that couldn't figure out what was wrong! I could go on for hours about the care and concern Doc has for animals! My last visit was 3 weeks ago. My horse had eye cancer. Dr. O'Brien removed his eye. Red is 24 years old. He lost him during the surgery and fought hard to bring him back! He is home and doing well. I have total trust in Dr. O'Brien and his care. I could never say enough good about him and his place. The place is beautiful! For people wanting to CHARGE their bills, this will not be the place for you. It is pay as you go. In todays world can you blame the man???!!!!!

All of their equipment seemed to be fairly new. I felt that my pet would be taken care of adequately. I can tell it is maybe not a top priority to maintain a professional appearance here. They didn't look terrible, but there is definitely lots of room for improvement. They make no effort to make me feel special. I don't think they appreciate my loyalty to them. It seemed like they were trying to rush my appointment and were annoyed to be helping me. It was obvious that they wanted to be somewhere else. I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. At one time he was probably a good vet. He has no bedside manners. Cranky old man would be a good way to sum him up. Very Very expensive. Cash only, and no invoice, he says invoice will cost you extra, what does that tell you? If he can't find whats wrong with your horse he will milk your pocket book dry.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. Dr Obrien is very concerned about his clients. I had never even seen him before and was calling him to speak about some x ray results I had recieved from another vet. He told me to email him the x rays and he would be happy to give a second opinion. He called me as soon as he got them told me to have the vet to run another view because the diagnosis was not possible from that view and send them to him and he took time out of his day and called me to talk to me about his findings, recommendations and such. My horse is navicular, has ringbone and bone spurs and is 18 years old and because of Dr Obrien I am still riding him on trails of 25 miles and longer. He is in great shape.

This vet is the most caring and attentive horse vet around. He treated a severe leg injury on my horse which several other vets felt was beyond repair. Dr. O'Brien kept my horse almost 2 months and instructed me on follow up care...5 months later my horse is almost well!!

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I'm undecided if I would refer any of my friends or family here. I'm not sure if I loved them that much to be honest. I do sometimes get a little frustrated with the selection of medication available for pets because they hardly ever have what I need. It really needs to be restocked more often. You would think it wouldn't be too hard to send a reminder card for your pets annual exam, but apparently that is too much to ask of them. I am constantly forgetting what time of year it is supposed to be too. I was left in the appointment room by myself, but they eventually returned.
