Overall, my stay at Kindred was good. There were some things that could be improved upon but that fits any occasion. The physical therapy and pulmonary therapy was great. The Nurses were hit or miss from being good to moderately incompetent. Same with the Nurse Assistants. I'm not sure how to fix this unless the nursing superisors spent more time on the floor as opposed to their closed offices. I don't know what their jobs entail, but if they are so burdened with other stuff, maybe a new position should be created.

My experience with Kindred was amazing..My husband was here 3 months and in that time he was treated wonderful..He had been at Memorial Hermann 3 months and was recovering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Kindred helped him regain his ability to walk and breath on his own again and did this with great care...We became like a family..I am forever grateful.

Kindred on main Street in Houston, Texas is HORRIBLE!! The nurses there are lazy and lacks the knowledge they need to care for patients. My family member is there now and I am trying to get her out NOW. They take 20/30 minutes to answer the call light and sometimes, I have to go get them and whe i get to the desk the nurses and aids are all on thier cell phones!! Very unprofessional place DO NOT trust them with your loved one. they seem very nice in the beginning, but we ere there for months and saw everything and it is not good. They use agency nurses that are not familiar with the way the operate and are always having to show them the Kindred way. STOP!!! DO NOT take your family here!!!!
