I worked at Bournwood many years ago but finding it was still operating wanted to give input somewhere. When I worked there I was 19 with no degree. I was left alone with patients, some of who were actively psychotic. I was also allowed to pour medications. At that time Bournwood had a practice of hiring non degreed personel and bringing in RN's for accrediation. While I would expect that this has not continued it was disturbing.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. DO NOT LET ANY FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS BE PLACED IN THIS FACILITY , THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT ROTTENBURGS PLACE IN CANTON >>>> THIS PLACE IS AS BAD >>>>>It`s all about the money and not really helping people , and the place is disgustingly dirty . The place should be shut down .

I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. They didn't tell me very much about my treatments' risks and benefits. I still felt like I had to do my own research. I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me.

The Dr's only came by for less than a 5 minute visit and 3 Dr's saw me in 3 days..Nobody knew what the other was doing.They would never call my primary to ask about previous meds etc.If you go into bounewood without mental you surely will leave with issues...
