Having been to see several family and couples therapists over the years, we know what a good experience is like. After several visits to her office, we walked away with nothing solid to work on and no real feedback.

To make matters even worse, we paid our copay during each visit. Over 9 months later, their office sent us our first bill claiming that we had not. Obviously, with 9 months having passed, we did not keep a receipt of our copay payment. When we called their office to discuss the situation, they apologized and said that they had had computer issues the previous years and that several patients were affected! All I received was an apology for the inconvenient timing of their billing and an explanation that we would be responsible for the money since that's what their system showed. Unbelievable unprofessionalism! We have perfect credit and could not afford to allow this to be sent to a collection agency, so we're basically strong-armed into paying our copay twice.

I am very grateful for the quality of care that I received from Dr. Burgess. Not only did she help me through a difficult time in my life, but she also taught me valuable skills so that I could help myself. She has mastered, and is truly devoted to her craft.
