Before I started seeing Dr. Shafer three years ago, I had been to two other therapists and had formed a negative opinion of therapy. After my very first meeting with Dr. Shafer, I felt very hopeful about the process of therapy and the rest of my life. Dr. Shafer helped me with my depression, anxiety, self-esteem and other "disorders". I tell everyone I know about him and how he saved my life when I was starting to think there was no point to living. Two of my family members have also see him. I have learned so much from Dr. Shafer - about myself, others and the world. Dr. Shafer is an empathetic, respectful and highly skilled therapist who can guide a person to peace and joy. He has immense knowledge, wisdom and a truly special gift to relate to people and help them. No matter what you are struggling with, Dr. Shafer can help you.

Dr. Shafer is a gifted doctor. His ability to listen well and get me to think through my issues has helped me tremendously since I began seeing him over the last two years. His ability in getting me to solve my issues has provided me the foundation to believe in myself again and start a new life. His approach and his technical knowledge of the field is unparalleled. I highly recommend him if you are struggling with any of life's battles or challenges, whether professional or personal.

Dr. Shafer is a godsend. I met him at the lowest point in my life and he helped me defeat my demons and learn to trust in myself. He is very empathetic yet he "speak the truth" from facts not just his opinion on the situation. He gave me tools that I use in my life that help keep me on track. As far as I concerned he's the best therapist one could ever see.

Dr. Shafer has been an invaluable resource for me in my life as I have been through a very difficult period. His ability to provide guidance and perspective is unparalleled and I don't know where I would be without his expert knowledge and understanding of human behavior. I could not have made it through without him. Thank you for coming into my life.
I love that they are always more than happy to answer my questions, and actually welcome questions. I've felt awkward at some other places I've visited when I've tried to ask a lot of questions, but not here. They definitely care about patient comfort because they have the best waiting room chairs I've ever seen. I could have easily taken a quick nap while waiting for my appointment. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. Getting an appointment with them at a convenient time couldn't be easier. I've never had a problem getting an appointment at a time that works for me. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more.

They were so easy to reach in an emergency, they answered my call immediately. It is a relief to know that I can count on them to always be there for me when I need them the most. Their office was one of the quietest, most peaceful places I've ever visited. I was able to relax very easily. They explained all the risks and benefits of my treatment options. Everything was explained in detail, all my questions were answered, and I felt a lot better about choosing a treatment plan. I love how much attention to detail they show. They are always so careful and meticulous. I never have to worry about them making a mistake or forgetting something. I was amazed at how wonderfully they treated each of their staff members. They were so appreciative and thankful. I've never seen any employer treat their staff better, and it made me want to come back that much more.
