I LOVE Dr Hunter!! I have been in the office on Saturdays and he will get calls from other clinics who have emergencies coming in at closing time. Dr. Hunter always responds that it is his closing time too but he will not send anyone away. He and his staff are dedicated to providing the very best care to the animals and their owners. I would not trust my pets to anyone else!!

If I could give less than one star I would. Dr. Hunter and his staff killed my beloved dog. First of all I took my dog to the Fairmont clinic because he was coughing and having trouble breathing. Even though my dog was gasping for air we had to wait for over an hour in the waiting room. When my dog was seen he was given a series of shots and we were sent home. I paid my 100 dollar bill relieved that my beloved dog will be better soon, as I was told it was not serious. Two days later my dog was struggling again to breathe. I called the clinic and told him I was bringing him again. Dr. Hunter was busy eating a burrito during my dogs examiniation. He just read his file from our last visit and made his diagnosis from there. Dr. Paul Hunter said he wasnt comfortable giving my dog the injection he needed (my dog is a small chihuahua) so he called another Doctor to give it to him. Still I was told that he would be fine, but he did say to leave him for observation for two hours so they could see how he reacted to the medicine. I left my number and told them to call me if anything changed. I heard nothing from them, so I called and the rude girl on the phone left me on hold for 7 minutes while she "checked" on my poor baby. She returned and said "oh, he is about the same." I decided to go and pick him up to take him somewhere else. When I got to the clinic the office was having a party while my poor dog was literally suffocating next to them. I asked for him, and the Dr. told me I should take him to an emergency room because he needed oxygen right away. (I was told an hour ago is wasnt that serious) What??? I find out this vet has no xray equipment, no oxygen, or any other emergency equipment a sick animal might need to be properly diagnosed and treated. I sped off to the nearest emergency clinic. My poor dog's health had considerably deteriorated while supposively under Dr. Paul Hunter's "monitoring" When on the way to the emergency clinic my friend had to give my dog mouth to mouth 3 times. We got to the clinic and they rushed him in his oxygen level was at 0!!!!!! needless to say it was too late and my best friend past away. A cruel, painful death after I made the decision to leave him in the hands of who I thought was a trained professional. Please do not listen to these other reviews. This "vet" has a table, some needles, and bottles of some drugs. He is not competent to treat any kind of serious illness or anything other than to give out some routine vaccinations. If you love your pet please learn from my mistake. I will always feel guilty about trusting this man with my best friend.

Don't call this provider if you're in a hurry. Every time I call I have to wait on hold forever. I think I got a gray hair the last time I was waiting. I love that they never cancel their appointments last minute here. I can always count on them to be there for me. They always take that extra step to make me feel special. I always enjoy my appointments here. I'm absolutely going to recommend them to everyone I know. I was amazed that their staff could be so rude. They treated me and my pet like dirt.
