I can't say enough good things about Dr. Leck and his staff - they are AMAZING! I have an older dog with a variety of serious health problems (diabetes, pancreas issues, some skin problems), and Dr. Leck has the experience and expertise to help me manage them. My dog's diabetes was not well-controlled when we found Dr. Leck, but with his help, my dog is really thriving and his condition is more under control than it has ever been. Dr. Leck takes the time to really examine your pet, every time, and to really explain to you what is going on. His staff is helpful and super sweet. The office is often busy, but they go out of their way to find time to fit you in, and they stay late if that is when you can come in. Also, when you make an appointment with Dr. Leck, that is who you see - I have made appointments with other seemingly sole practitionner practices, only to arrive and be seen by someone fresh out of vet school who knew less about my pet's condition than I did. This does not happen at Dr. Leck's. Also, his office visit and other fees are reasonable and he does not push for unnecessary tests or treatments. I recommend them so highly. I drive 40 minutes from my home in Bethlehem to Pen Argyl to see them rather than any number of vets located closer to my home...

I only wished I'd known about Dr.Leck years ago! I truly believe my dog would still be alive if he'd beein in Dr. Leck's care before it was too late. Dr. Leck is a class act - extremely knowledgeable, honest, professional, compasionate & caring. Everyone in his staff is a reflection of how he conducts his business. When your pet is being cared for at this clinic, you don't feel like you're being ripped off, like at most other vets.

Do not go to this doctor if you love your pet! I found a stray kitten at my job, so I took it home to care for it, on my way home I noticed it was bleeding from it's mouth, I called Dr. Leck's office immediately to make an appt for later that day (I work night shift). The receptionist is very pleasant and they were very quick about getting her in asap. When I took the kitten to see the doctor, she weighed in at 1lb 1 ounce at 6-8 weeks old. He gave her a nose to tail inspection and told me she was in good health just underweight. She was given a distemper shot. For days after the vet visit she was very tired and I would wake her up to eat and drink. Thinking fatigue is normal after a distemper, I didn't become concerned until her energy was to the point that she couldn't stand for long periods of time, with every intention to call the vet back in a few hours when they opened she passed away. I called the vet upset asking for a refund and canceling my other cat's future appt and I was talked to like I was garbage. The woman I spoke to pushed for me to bring the body in to be beheaded and tested for rabies. She also brought up that the kitten had round worm and that the fecal test was not paid for because they forgot to invoice me for it. She also said she had lost cats too "it's a tough break." Dr. Leck claims that they did nothing wrong and I would only be given a credit if I continued to be a customer. They must be crazy. She also asked me why I left my other vet. My other vet is 50 minutes away and I lacked time to take my cats for simple things like shots/preliminary exams. This is why I went to Dr. Leck in the first place. Before I ended the conversation with that insensitive woman, she brought up not getting paid for the fecal again.

I had a sweet tempered kitten who had energy and life when I found her, with a second chance at life. After her visit, her health declined, she passed away and I was talked to like I was trash. This office is all about the all mighty dollar.

If you want an amazing vet, go to Emmaus Animal Hospital. I certainly will never make the mistake of taking my pets anywhere else again.
