I took my daughter ther to the ER for a swollen infected bite. After we saw several nurses and other staff member go by, finally one nurse came to ask what the problem was and told me to put an oinment on it and give her tylenol for pain, so the service time was less than 10 minutes, then I received a bill for 1,200. I didnt pay because I didn't have the money and I didn't think that services was by any meaning a 1,200 one. Then they kept harrasing me to set up a payment plan, calling my house day and night for months. They need to something about this facility. it is a beautiful, state of the art facility in a great location, but the building doesn't serve people.
I hope the amdinistration takes these comments seriously and take action.

3 Hours that included basic bloodwork & IV Fluids - Total bill $6,000!!! Not including the doctor, who spent maybe a total of 60 seconds with me. Doctor's Bill - $1,000! Total charges, $7,000!!!!!!!!! This place is unbelievable. Oh wait, wasn't this the hospital chain that Rick Scott was in charge of when they were fined for fraud. Wish I had remembered that sooner. Also have a friend who's hubby had a cat scan done and his insurance was charged $12,000. Turns out, the hospital didn't do a decent job and they had to get it redone. Went to a different hospital, same cat scan - billed insurance $4,000. Seriously, it was the same test done under the same circumstances. And the hospital that only charged $4,000 actually did a better job. Save your money, go somewhere else. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!

If I compare them to others in their field, I wouldn't say they're the worst, but they're definitely not the best. Sometimes I was given a brief greeting when I walked through the door, I think the hospital cares more about the lawn then the patients. I have seen more people working on the lawn, then I have seen nurses. Do not understand the pulling up good flowers just to put in a new color. When they are under staffed on nurses and over staffed on bad ones. We spent a month there and got to see the good and bad. Most of the staff were good some were outstanding, but some were very poor. One was a RT nurse (she knows how she is), told wife the high flow was all they had and she would have to put up with it or have a tube put down her month, the bands on the were cutting into her face. Later a good nurse found some soft pads to put under the bands. One of the others was a ICU nurse, that does not need to be in a hospital. She lies, many times I would come in and find the nurse call button, hanging from the wall on the floor or out of reach, her comment would be she was watching her from out side, She was ether nowhere to be seen or at the nurses station. When asked about asking the Dr. about something she would lie and say she did, when I know she did not. Any time we asked for things IE extra sheet she always question way she needed it. The only time she was around was when she saw a Dr. coming in to see her. The Hospital is as strong as its weakest link and this is just two bad links in this chain, how mare patients do they see everyday, week, or year. We are not the first and I am sure we are not the last. Bad people make for a bad hospital, to bad we did not get all the good people, but I guess if you stay long enough you will run into the bad help. Over all spend more money on good nurses and less on lawn care, and get ride of the bad nurses. And they know who they are.

I visited the ER at Trinity Medical during a Tropical Storm. I hit my head, stopped the bleeding, but I was concerned I needed stitches. The nurse said I did not need stitches and advised I could go get a band-aid at Walgreens. However, he strongly suggested a Tetanus shot so I stayed. He smeared my cut with glue and gave me the shot. I was in the ER for roughly 30 minutes with no critical need of service; yet I was charged $2,280.21 from the ER and $1,397.00 from a doctor I never saw. If your wound is minor, you may want to go an Urgent Care facility first before incurring mega charges from Trinity. I wish I did.

Beautiful new building. There is a reason why the hospital is empty. Some of the people that work there are not professional. Would rather go to a private doctor or facility. Will never go again. Got infection from IV, not happy with results. MY GP said they didn't need to take all the tests and should have given me other medicines and other tests. Never saw so many doctors in this area that misdiagnosed me until I went to another hospital. Awful communication between staff members.
