I have had a great stay here at Kindred in Ocala so far. I came here the first time about 3 weeks ago and I had an issue with my feeding tube. They had to send me back to my other hospital to get this fixed, but then I came back. I have been back for about 2 weeks and I have been doing great. I am weaned from the vent. I have been graduating from things everyday and now the nurses have pulled my drainage tubes, the respiratory therapist has capped my trach and now I have oxygen through a little tube in my nose.

Rehab has worked hard with me since being brought to Kindred in Ocala. My strength has increased and I am progressing with my standing and ability to take steps. I am so determined to be home by Christmas!

Everybody is wonderful here. I really cannot complain because I have been so sick and been through so much that I am just blessed that this place is here.

I came here from Jacksonville to get antibiotics and participate in rehab. Also, I need to get trained for placing myself on a ventilator at night. Since I have gotten here, everyone that has taken care of me has been nice and very helpful. I will be here for about 2 more weeks and then I will go home. I am thankful for the respiratory team, nurses and rehab therapists taking care of me.

The team has taken great care of my husband and for that I am so thankful. The nurses have been great about following up on his medications and addressing all of his problems. The wound care team has helped him heal his wounds and maintain good skin integrity.

The doctors work well with the staff and have addressed every concern that I and my husband have ever worried about.

The therapy team is so wonderful and you can tell that they work hard to accommodate their patients. Sometimes they see him separately and sometimes they see him with multiple therapists to make sure he gets every opportunity to gain strength. We started at the lowest of the low, I mean he needed help for everything. Now he is able to eat, is feeding himself, getting into the chair with only a little assistance and I know he is only a couple weeks from coming home! That is great considering he was on the vent, on dialysis, immobile and almost unresponsive at times.

I want to thank everyone for helping me and my husband get well!

I really like this hospital and I can say that because I have been in plenty. It is really one of the best hospitals in the area. I was once in another LTACH like Kindred Ocala and was so unhappy that I requested to be transferred to Kindred Ocala because I knew I would get better care and I would be happier! My favorite part of this hospital is quality of care. The people or staff could not be any better. There is absolutely nothing that could make my stay here any better. I am so happy with their care!

If I were to give someone advice that was looking for a hospital, I would say choose Kindred Hospital Ocala. You will be safe with them and can trust they will work hard to get you better!
