At the beginning of 2017 I followed my rockstar dental hygienist Nancy to her new place of employment. That led me to Dr. Negar Sherkat who is the most thorough and skilled dentist I have ever known. I can't sing her praises loud enough. Alissa, the office manager, is exceptional as well; very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and caring. My first exam with Dr. Sherkat was something I'd never experienced before...a dentist who examined all aspects of my teeth with precision and focused detail. I think the exam was about an hour long! Dr. Sherkat uncovered a major problem with a bottom crowned molar that should IMHO have been detected by my former dentist. She explained what needed to happen next in a thorough and patient manner as I had many questions. I take very good care of my teeth and always had regular dental cleanings and always followed my former dentists recommendations on needed procedures. So to say I was shocked at the need for a root canal and possible crown lengthening or an implant would be a major understatement. Because I already (and quickly had) trusted Dr. Sherkat I followed her recommended referrals to Dr. Alibhai (root canal) and Dr. Akimoto (crown lengthening). Both of these doctors were also excellent. My husband now sees Dr. Sherkat. He also had tooth issues that went undiscovered by our former dentist, but luckily Dr. Sherkat was able to save the teeth and recrown them. I highly recommend Downtown Bellevue Dental and Dr. Sherkat in particular. If you desire exceptional dental care this is the place to go.
