All of the stars I've given are for Dr. Lanes. He's a top notch doctor but he has the rudest staff I've ever encountered. You're always wrong and if the doctor accidentally spends ONE minute extra with you the office staff stops you on the way out for more money. And if you miss an appointment expect to pay for it, in full, no matter the circumstances. IMO if I died without canceling or on the way, the office staff would go after my estate for the money. I've also learned the price for arguing with the horrible people who run the office...expect your folder to go to the bottom and to wait an hour or more and watch everyone who arrives after you to get called in first.

The doctor is GREAT, I have gone to many he is the best in his class and very brilliant and caring.

The staff is another story, rude, and closed for 2 hours a day. if you need to speak to the doctor you will never get to unless you make an appt.

I was seeing Dr. Lanes for almost two years.Dr. Lanes is the best psychiatrist that I ever saw. However, the office that he worked for (South Florida Behavioral Health LLC) is terrible. First, the office is not run in the usual way where the doctors are associates. Behavioral Health LLC is a management company that manages the office where various doctors work. The management company does all the billing, etc. I believe the father and son that run the management company are Isreali. Here is the big problem....the management company makes the entire experience not worth it and cancels any benefits of seeing the excellent physician (Dr. Lanes). Here are my experiences: On my first visit to the office, Dr. lanes gave me specific instructions and I was the first patient. However, the office management told me I could not see the doctor until I take a blood test (contradicting what the doctor had arranged for me). The admin staff are almost calling the shots and making medical decisions. Secondly, the administrative staff is super rude!! I have seen at least one incident where patients have had arguments with the management staff right in the waiting room. The management is SUPER CHEAP. They charge a cancellation fee for canceling less than 24 hours in advance. After being a patient of Dr. Lanes for almost two years and never missing or being late to one appointment, I missed an appointment due to a severe car accident on the way to my appointment (to help explain the severity, my car was claimed a "Total loss" by the insurance company). I immediately called the doctor's office to explain the situation before my appointment time from the side of the road. One would think that they would make a special exception for such an emergency. I even sent them an e-mail explaining the situation, apologizing, and included several photos of the totaled car!! Talk about CHEAP. They said that I am not welcome back to the office until I pay the cancellation fee. I was highly dependent on the physician bc I was physically dependent on the meds he was prescribing me (and I assume the office knew that and ran with it). However, I would rather suffer withdraw then give my money to such inconsiderate people. Instead, I will find a new physician. IN SHORT, DR. LANES IS EXCELLENT, STAFF IS TERRIBLE. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, and STAY AWAY. If Doctor Lanes ever leaves the current office management team that he is with, I would definately see him again
